Are you one of those people that has to get in on your favorite game before anyone else? You want to be there from the first beta? Well, you can be that person in the Hellgate London closed beta. All you have to do is buy one of the statuettes on Weta’s website. These collectibles are roughly $225, so you have to ask yourself whether the demo is worth that amount of money.

Personally, I feel this is a new low for a game company to go through these methods to get extra cash from a gamer. And it is not the first time for Hellgate. They are charging a monthly fee if you want to get better service from their online component. Nice one guys. I like the statues, but they are not worth me shelling out $225 just to play a game before other people.
