Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

If you have been reading Aeropause for a while you know of our great dislike of console fanboys. Keeping yourself from experiencing great games due to an overwhelming bias towards a platform just oozes stupidity. More of that stupidity can be found over at the Sony Defense Force, a website dedicated to misleading gamers with the intention of making Sony the one and only force in console gaming. They just posted a review for Bioshock and for some reason they seem less then impressed giving the game a mediocre 5/10. So what is wrong with Bioshock according to them? Just read a few choice comments from the review and you will see the real reason for the hate.

“While the animation seemed stiff and you could tell the 360 was being pushed too hard it still looked like it had a lot of potential.”

“I also wonder how much better the graphics would’ve been had they not been compressed to fit on a DVD.”

“Wait for the superior PS3 version. Cleaned up textures, animations, AI, extra weapons, Home space, standard HDD and Blu-ray will make this flawed game into a perfect gem.”

Saying much else would be a waste of time, just like their website. True fans of gaming should avoid this site at all cost. In fact I am not even going to post a link to the review. If you want to find it just search for Sony Defense Force.

I think it is awesome that the PS3 requires a DEFENSE FORCE. I imagine a huge propaganda machine to give any reason, any reason what so ever, to own a PS3.

Such poor sports! This game is getting rave reviews everywhere, and I’m definitely jealous that it’s not available on the PS3 (since I don’t have an Xbox 360).

I’ve never heard of a PS3 version, so I’m sure his statement about waiting for one is just wishful thinking.

Good God. Just from the comments you posted, this sounds like the typical crap you see on Gamefaqs message boards.

I would love to see what this kid had to say about Resistance, because that game felt like it was lacking substance. It was had a weird, sterile feel throughout, as if what you were doing had no impact on the environment around you. I played through it, but was never blown away.

Bioshock blew me away, and that was just the demo.

The only thing you get for being a console fanboy is you miss out on great gaming experiences.

fanboyism will always be around, its a way for people to try to justify why they make purchases. a bmw owner will tell you that his bmw is better then his neighbors benz, and vise versa.

I own a PS3, and I for one am bummed that I will be missing out on this game, but I will definetly be playing it over my friends house

The scary thing is that his site links to ANOTHER site called Sony protection group.

There are 2 of these things.

Oddly enough I was going to buy Sony a few weeks back then my accountant suggested I purchase Norway instead. It wasn’t the greatest country to buy but it was the only one on the market at the time.

Still and all I’ll take a Norway Fanboy over a Sony Joyboy any day!

  • Sound~ says:

Fanboys are pitiful loosers. I can only fathom that they’re all teen and pre-teen idiots, and marketing zealots on payroll. But anyway, such blatant attemps to generate traffic to their website is just ludicrous and as such put me with the crowd that wont be wasting their time reading their bs review and/or bs comments.

i played the demo and although im a 360er i have to say i did not like this game i thought it was too dark and i just didnt like the controls. it had amazing graphics and i did like the underwater city i just didnt like the gameplay(the weird things jumping out). I’ve already had a 360 and it broke and frankly the ps3 is more but i would have paid an extra 100 bucks for the hd dvd player.
    +good graphics
    looks like a good story
    good details
    - i didnt like the controls
i didnt like the aimer thing and i didnt like the darkness of the game for example most parts i couldn’t see. i think gears of war was dark enough but i actually could not see i didnt like that.

frankly its not my cup of tea and thats my opinion

  • Peter says:

Bioschlock is great and all but whats the point of gorgeous graphics and wonderful effects if the whole environment is always dark and murky. Total waste. The expansive, bright and realistic environments of Half-Life 2 were amazing. Levels like Ravenholm were dark and scarey without being claustrophobic like Bioschlock.
