Behold the small miracle that is Pandora’s Battery. You do need to buy a new battery, but that is all… the program itself is free.
Find a friend who has a homebrew-enabled PSP, and you will run a program from Pandora’s battery to turn that PSP’s battery into a “jigkick” battery. That battery then cannot be used normally – hence needing a new battery. Then, you run a program to create an unbricker memory stick image, and then run a program on your PC to install that image to your memory stick. You install the battery and memory stick in any bricked PSP, and voila, the PSP will be reinstalled with firmware 1.50.
