The lackluster, nearly direct-to-video Aliens Vs. Predator movie from 2004 will get a sequel this fall and a PSP exclusive movie tie-in game. Rebellion Developments is behind it, and while some sites have mentioned their work on Star Wars games for the PSP, Gamespot is the first I’ve seen that mentions they’re the same shop that worked on the Aliens vs Predator game for the Jaguar and its followup on the PC.

The lackluster, nearly direct-to-video Aliens Vs. Predator movie from 2004 will get a sequel this fall and a PSP exclusive movie tie-in game. Rebellion Developments is behind it, and while some sites have mentioned their work on Star Wars games for the PSP, Gamespot is the first I’ve seen that mentions they’re the same shop that worked on the Aliens vs Predator game for the Jaguar and its followup on the PC.
I’ve always been drawn to the Predator’s wonderful toys and relished the tiniest hints surrounding its backstory we got in the movies. This is probably why I actually liked Pedator 2 more than most people. The sinister way that Predator recorded and played back human voices to taunt his foes or just spook them stuck with me. Its muddled playback of “Want some candy?” is just itching to be available for deathmatching.
Call me a pessimist, but when the developer doesn’t say if the multiplayer will be online or offline, I’m going to say it’s ad-hoc only at this point.
