Will the Wii Get Trekked?

Submitted by Joe Haygood on July 25, 2007 – 12:01 amComments

startrekwii.jpgThe guys at Siliconera found an interesting box shot and blurb at Gamefly for a game called Star Trek: Conquest for the Wii. Not much else is said at the site.

So I went to Bethesda’s site to see if they had anything about the game, since they are the license holders. Not only is there nothing at Bethesda’s site about the game, they do not even have a Wii section on their site. Now, from memory, it seems there was a game called Star Trek: Conquest for the PC a few years ago. It was some sort of online game that was not very intuitive and died out shortly after launch. I so remember “Q” being prominently featured on the front of the box and he was the main character that guided you through the game.

So is this just a mis-listing by Gamefly, or have they decided to take the PC concept to the Wii? Or is it something completely new? No one is sure, but I have submitted an email to Bethesda to get a clarification.

  • Gamespot has a review up for the PC game and shows it released in 2000! It looks to be the same game more or less the review has you fighting/controlling 5 different groups. The box art on this site shows 6 emblems. Perhaps they added a new group to the mix? Anyway, what the hell is a "Star Trek Card Collectible" game?
