Will The 80GB PS3 SIXAXIS Have Rumble?
Did you see the box shot over on the 80GB PS3 announcement at Gamespot? There’s something very interesting about the SIXAXIS on the box. The PlayStation button is glowing red.
The PS button on the SIXAXIS controller currently in circulation does not glow red. I don’t even think it’s translucent at all, in fact. I’ve heard podcasts in the past asking what happened to the red light when early photos of the controller showed one, and it turned out that only the PS3 development kits have the red-lit button. Could this be the new SIXAXIS with rumble? Rumble support would be a nice addition to MotorStorm, wouldn’t it?
Here’s hoping that isn’t a mistake on the 80GB box. I’m still waiting to pick up a second SIXAXIS controller, and getting one with built-in rumble support would get me off the fence and make me buy one.
UPDATE: SCEA has squashed this rumor. The controller in the 80GB bundle will be no different from the one currently in use, says Kotaku.

where’s the uproar over this new PS3. Microsoft releases the Elite and the XBOX FanBoys go nutzy angry over the whole thing.
whoops, i forgot. Nobody bought the PS3 yet anyways.
