Tiny Diggers – An iPad Construction Truck Game for Kids Age 2-5

The PlayStation Store has gotten a regular Thursday update even after yesterday’s boatload of E3 2007 trailer goodness. Color me surprised that it includes a demo, a full game, and an add-on.

Nucleus is a new shooter that comes as either a 3-level, 137 MB download Starter Pack for free (that’s a demo to you and me) or the full game at $9.99, a bit more than other Store games have been lately. Early previews of Nucleus on 1Up said it was difficult to keep track of what was going on given its unusual art style, so I think Sony did the right thing with a Starter Pack. I found the Starter Pack levels to be varied and interesting — this isn’t just a shooter, it’s tougher with slower puzzle elements and challenges.

Also available is the one playable piece of Spider-Man 3 that only came in the Collector’s Edition: The New Goblin playable character. So for just $5.99 you can download The New Goblin from the Store for use in your non-Collector’s Edition copy of Spider-Man 3. Given that reviews panned this Collector’s Edition content, I doubt this is going to get much in the way of sales.
