Stor3d: Heavenly Sword demo, MGS4 Gameplay Video

Today’s PlayStation Store releases are headlined by the Heavenly Sword demo. Atop a trio of gameplay videos we also have the Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay video from Tokyo, something of a surprise considering it just appeared on the internet a couple of days ago. It’s joined by a Resident Evil 5 trailer and a HAZE “Origins” trailer.

Other than that we’ve got a smattering of Sony Pictures trailers covering 30 Days Of Night, Across The Universe, and August Rush. I’m wondering where The Darkness demo is. Europe got it last week.

The HS demo surprised me in a couple of ways.

It’s definitely more of a fighting game than a brawler, and it needs quite a bit more effort put in to make you look good. Also, defeating enemies with shields is pretty darn tough.

It’s going to take quite a bit more practice for me to understand the flow of the moves, but I think having the demo out this far ahead of the game is good for just that. If I put the effort into it then I think the full game will become a must-play.
