Some New Songs, Venues Available in Guitar Hero 3
Seems that the guys over at Scorehero.com got a chance to go visit the Neversoft team about the latest developments on Guitar Hero 3. They also got a scoop on some new songs.
The New Songs that were given to them were:
Suck My Kiss – Red Hot Chili Peppers (original recording)
La Grange - ZZ Top
Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden (original recording)
Through the Fire and the Flames – Dragon Force (original recording)
The developers told them that the last song in the list here, Through the Fire and the Flames, will be near impossible to finish. Also, Neversoft has original recordings for 50% of the regular songs and 70% of the bonus songs are originals. This tells me that the musicians are looking at this franchise as a way to expand their audience.
As for characters, most of the cast from Guitar Hero is making a return, including the Grim Reaper. Two characters that were listed are new. One is Midori, and Slash, who is listed as a Legend. Not sure if that means you will be able to use Slash if you beat him, but they showed him as a character.
Lastly, they had a list of the venues that will be used in the game. They are:
Backyard Bash
Mitch’s Moose Lounge
Video Shoot
Ye Olde Royal Odeon
Shanker’s Island
Desert Rock Tour
Kaiju Megadome
Lou’s Inferno
Nothing that stands out, but as always, I am sure each venue will have the subtle touches that make them so much fun to play in.
