Gambling is one of the main money-generating aspects of Second Life. Or at least it was. Slashdot carries word that Second Life has changed its policy to completely ban gambling. I imagine this is what came of the FBI’s examinations of gambling in Second Life earlier this year.

Gambling is one of the main money-generating aspects of Second Life. Or at least it was. Slashdot carries word that Second Life has changed its policy to completely ban gambling. I imagine this is what came of the FBI’s examinations of gambling in Second Life earlier this year.
Some virtual wailing and gnashing of teeth is occurring, but if Linden Labs can’t stay in business there wouldn’t be a Second Life. Then again, if Second Life isn’t fun to play, well, Linden Labs won’t stay in business.
