Ones to Watch: August 2007 PSP releases
Ah, the PSP. Let’s see what games we have to look forward to in August. The 7th brings us both Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, and Tomb Raider Anniversary.
The 14th does not bring us nearly as many games for the PSP as the DS, however, Dungeons & Dragons Tactics and Madden NFL 08 each debut, and if you’re a bowling fan, check out Brunswick Pro Bowling. A game focusing only on bowling? Gee, I hope that’s a discount title.
The 21st brings us a new RPG, Dragoneer’s Aria. Take control of Valen, a novice dragoneer, and protect the elemental dragons from a fearsome monster. Another RPG, Jeanne D’Arc, appears alongside Dragoneer’s Aria. Of course, it’s inspired by the legendary Joan of Ark, with a fantasy twist. Finally on the 21st, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 debuts.
The 28th is a bit busier. Naruto fans can buy the new fighting game, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes. Fans of the action role-player Monster Hunter 2 can check out Monster Hunter Freedom 2, which brags 50% more content than the original Monster Hunter Freedom.
Also on the 28th, I’m looking forward to trying out Dead Head Fred, a horror action-adventure title. In it, you’ll take on the persona of private detective Fred Neuman, a man without his memory, or his head, since being savagely murdered and then resurrected. He will have, get this, interchangable heads!
Still on the 28th, sports fans can pick up Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 or the racing NHRA: Countdown to the Championship 2007.
August looks to be a welcome relief from the gaming drought that was July.
