Nintendo dates Hourglass, offers bonus, delays Corruption.

Nintendo today issued a press release giving a release date of October 1st for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS. That’s fine, if they can stick to that date, they won’t exactly be carving pumpkins, but almost. They also point out that those who register the game and their system will get a special stylus that looks like the quill pen that’s used in the game to draw on your map and chart courses for your boomerang and ship.
Tucked happily away at the bottom of the press release is news that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will release on August 27th. This is what we call a strategic delay… previously dated for the 20th, the game’s sliding a mere week, but that’s all it needs to mess things up for me. I have the week of the 20th off from work, and a primary reason was because of Corruption. Now I’ll be going back to work just in time for the release. Nice.
