Multiplayer Mode and Plot of Beautiful Katamari Announced
Famitsu, by way of Siliconera, has a tidbit on the multiplayer modes for Beautiful Katamari. Currently, four players will be able to enter an arena and battle it out with their katamaris, trying to make it the biggest, while taking out your opponents. This is not a huge variant on the current multiplayer with the exception of adding two more katamari, so it will have to be seen whether they add more to the multiplayer or just stick with the simplistic. Off-line modes will be available as well for practice and local play.
As for the plot of the story, it seems that the King of All Cosmos opened a black hole during a tennis match and it sucked in all the stars, requiring the prince to once again take his katamari and rebuild the stars in the sky.
