Jaffe Forms Studio, Working On Twisted Metal Game

David Jaffe has made good on his desire to start a new studio with the formation of Eat, Sleep, Play with the help of Incognito founder and now-former-president Scott Campbell. The studio has signed a multi-year deal with SCEA to develop games exclusively for PlayStation platforms. Incognito will now be led by Dylan Jobe, director of their imminent PS3 title Warhawk.
Their first game will be a PS2 title called Twisted Metal: Head On, assumed to be a port of the 2005 PSP game of the same name, but this new version will include levels that didn’t ship with Twisted Metal Black and a documentary about the whole Twisted Metal series.
Twisted Metal fans should be happy, and it’s telling that their first title will be for the PS2, guaranteeing a very wide audience compared to what the PS3 offers them. I’m looking forward to seeing what else they end up doing, especially if Jaffe hasn’t been soured on his experience developing Calling All Cars for the PSN.
