It’s VC Monday, but alas, no Metroid.
This past Friday, Europe got Metroid as part of their batch of Virtual Console releases. However, as often happens, we don’t get what they got today. I guess I got my hopes up because Paper Mario kind of flew out across all territories in a week’s time, but those hopes were dashed. Well, maybe that’s not completely fair of me, because even if Metroid did show up, I wasn’t planning on buying it. Nintendo bundled it with so many of their recent Metroid games that I’ve got at least two copies of it floating around here on GBA cartridges and Gamecube discs. That said, it would be nice to see some Metroid on the Virtual Console. Ideally of the SNES variety.
So with my requisite whining out of the way, here’s what we did get: SNES golfer Kirby’s Dream Course, TG16 pinball game Devil’s Crush, and Genesis RPG Shining Force, which is easily the star of the show this week. See the release below.
