Today, I had a few moments with Laura Fryer, Executive Producer from Studio ZR, the home or Gears of War while playing a demo of the game. Also, she told me that there will be a level editor present, so online maps will still be able to come from the community free of charge.

Anyway, I started off in the Prision Break sequence. The game starts off identical to the way the console version starts off. The first thing you notice is how fluid the game is running. No one had exact specs of the machines they were running, but the game has a silky smooth frame rate. I started playing the game with the keyboard and mouse, but I decided to move to the Xbox Controller shortly after starting, because I noticed that I was use to playing and aiming with the controller for the game.

I did not get to the extended content, but it kicks in around half way through the game. It will bridge two points in the game and explain more about what happened between those two areas. The game is coming out in November of 2007 and it looks to be Live enabled with new Achievements for you to gain.
