Aeropodcast Has Arrived

Submitted by Joe Haygood on July 19, 2007 – 3:57 amComments

ourmic.jpgWell, it has been in the works for a while now, but we have finally recorded our first Podcast for the site. We hope to do these every week or every other week. But we need your help. We need you to give us some input on what you want in our show. I am sure that all of us can come up with tons of stuff to talk about for hours on end, but we want to discuss the gaming questions and quandaries that are on the minds of our readers. So go to the forums, send us email and comment in this post to let us know what you want in the next podcast.

Also, I feel this was a really good podcast, but it was our first one, so it is not without its hiccups. But bear with us, we promise to work out the kinks and get you the quality that you expect from our site. We are also working to get this show submitted to iTunes so you can get it downloaded right to your iPod. Not sure if the Zune has that capability, but if it does, we will work on that as well.

Congrats guys. I can't wait to listen to future episodes.

Stick with it and make things happen. If you guys need help, just ask.
  • ahh, the feedburner auto podcast option. I'll subscribe tonight and see how it goes :D
  • We have a new feed that we hope to have up soon. The direct link to the feed is:
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/aeropause/XiIV
  • Oh and cisco... iTunes podcasts are not that different to regular podcasts, they're still sourced from an RSS feed somewhere. You just need to do a little extra work to find the source ;)
  • Do you have an actual podcast RSS feed somewhere? The MP3 isn't listed as an enclosure in the main site feed so regular podcast clients won't see it.
  • Glad to hear the responses. Sifer, we will hopefully have more on Bioshock. We can see about working more of my hands on experience with Bioshock in the next podcast.

Also, thank you to all of you readers for the feedback. Glad to see that you are enjoying the podcast.

As for the MP3 link, we have to have one in our feeds in order for it to get all the relavant info to iTunes, so there will always be a link, as far as I know.
  • Yeah, very good first show. Echo aside, lots of good stuff.
  • Richard (Aeropause)
    Very nice guys!
  • I use a MAC and a PC regularly.

I hate itunes. It has NOTHING to do with Macs. Macs are super sweet. itunes blows ass. Simple.

Although I'll agree that more options are always preferable, why is it that some Windows users always have to loudly demand a non-iTunes option when iTunes is the far-and-away majority serving program? Ten years ago, when Mac users tried to demand ANYTHING, all we got was dirt in our face because we were the minority. We were told to suck it up, join the real world, and buy a PC.

So, used cisco, suck it up, join the real world, and use iTunes. ;)
  • Downloading it now, but I can't wait to listen, I'm sure it'll be good.

My one request without having listened would be to PLEASE always post a link to the MP3 download just like you did on this story. As someone who doesn't use (and hates) itunes, it's a gigantic pain in the ass when it is ONLY available via itunes. I have a good "podcast grabber program" for my zune, but I would really like the ability to download it directly as well.
