Twilight Princess in five-and-a-half hours.

Over at Speed Demos Archive, you’ll find video proof that Daniel ‘Jiano’ Hart tore through Twilight Princess in roughly five and a half hours. The video is cut into 43 pieces, but you can watch the segments as embedded flash, which is a nice new feature of the site I’ve been enjoying quite a bit.

The sound of Reggie Fils-Aime proudly proclaiming over 50 hours of gameplay is echoing in my head. Of course he wasn’t talking about speed run pros like these people, but it’s still a funny contrast.

Well it took me 54 hours.

I think it took me between around 34 and 38.

50 is a load of garbage unless you run in circles and 5 is just insane.

Playing Okami right now and I’m up to 32 hours and I just want the damn game to end (even though it is a really great game). I grow impatient with these long games. Give me a good 8 to 15 hour romp and I”ll be happier.

Big whoop.

It took me 45minutes to complete Metal Gear Solid on PS2. After sitting through 30minutes of cut-scenes I played fifteen minutes of sneaking around some silly boat and had my fill.

I put that disc right back in the box and never touched it again.

LOL Brent! That sounds like my experience with MGS2:Substance as well. Didn’t “get” the game at all, and ended up just selling it. Seems to be the consensus even among series fans though that MGS2 was the bottom end of the series. Nice cutscenes though.

Aww, TheBrain, you wound me. I’m well over 50 hours of play in the game at this point and haven’t even collected all the bugs or most of the fish. I tried just skipping them but am finding the last castle too frustrating.
