Tomb Raider Anniversary via Xbox Live

As of now, Xbox Live has been used to release small arcade style games and retro games from the past. But it looks as if Eidos is going to try and offer a new game on Xbox Live at a similar time as it is available in the stores. There have been no press releases that stated this, but a lookup of Tomb Raider: Anniversary on the ESRB web site shows five different titles, all broken up by locations. They have all been rated as Teen, so one has to wonder whether the game will be split into smaller pieces, and available to download. Here is a clip of the ESRB web site that shows the entries in question.

Two mysteries remain. One is how much would they charge for each of these pieces? Secondly would be when they are going to release it? If they wait too long, people will already own the game from the store, and if they charge too many points, it will not sell. Could this be the future of games on the 360? It is an interesting direction that will definitely push a lot more sales of larger hard drives.
