Thunderstorms suck.

Just wanted to let everyone know that sometimes when there’s thunder and stuff things fall onto power lines and some of us are thrust unceremoniously into the darkness. And by darkness, I don’t mean lack of light really, I’m talking about no Aeropause. So it took about 15 hours to restore power to my home, all the while they had my street obstructed with a fleet of vehicles, and in that time I fell way behind on my blog posts. I had such plans!
Without our TVs and computers, what do we do? How do we cope? Well, for one thing we get to spend some time realizing how much we take electricity for granted. Then, of course… we grab the handhelds, hoping for a reasonably strong charge. I played Metroid Prime Pinball. The wife played Puzzle Quest.
Kat wrote an article here on Aeropause about this whole thing this past February after losing power in an ice storm that I immediately thought of when I was looking for my DS in the dark. It’s called Gamers’ guide to survival without electricity. Go give it a read, before the power goes out in your neck of the woods.
