Sony Admits XBL is Easier to Develop For

3) If your game has heavy online use:
XBL provides more and better standard libraries for online gaming to developers. For the same features on PS3, developers have to do some extra work. We

    I’m not surprised. XBL has been around for much longer, so I would assume the tools they give out for it will be that much better. Sony is catching up pretty quick, the example has been set and they just need to match the service.

    Good point, Trev.

    The online tools were in such an early stage for the PS3 at launch that Activision didn’t even touch them at launch, leaving Tony Hawk Project 8 with absolutely no online play at all.

    If they make a “top 10 mistakes in this generation” list at some point, not having the online play code libraries ready for developers at launch after a long launch delay should be up there.

    So Sony didn’t make online a priority with the PS3 and we should be shocked that it’s harder to develop for than the 360?

    i hope all the Ps3 fans are having a good time cause it’s gonna be many many years before the ps4 comes.
