Ones To Watch: June 2007 Xbox 360 releases
Welp, if you love movie tie-ins boy are you going to be excited this month! We have Pirates 3, Fantastic Four 2, Ratatouille, Transformers, and something about Harry Potter and Ordering Phoenixes or something. Of those, only Transformers: The Game seems mildly interesting because Optimus and Megatron are being voiced by none other than Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, the original voices from the 80′s animated TV series. Rock on. This could be a good game. We’ll see.
Call of Juarez comes out next week (the 5th) for the 360. If you like western shooting action… then… I guess you’ll want to get this. I’ll pass…
It’s been a while since the Tenchu games were any good, in my humble opinion, but I know many others feel differently, so be sure to look for Tenchu Z on the 12th.
Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia also comes out on the 12th. It appears to have this whole X-men Legends Diablo-clone feel to it. It doesn’t strike me as being worth $60, but the co-op might be enough to warrant that kind of value.
And last but (possibly) not least, Overlord is being released by Codemasters on the 26th. It looks to be a kind of cartoony Diablo-clone or something. I dunno. Doesn’t look particularly appetizing, but once the Halo 3 beta is over, I may be desperate for anything…
Update: Holy crap! I forgot The Darkness… comes out on the 25th. (Thanks Richard!)
