Ones to Watch: June 2007 DS releases

Submitted by Kat on June 1, 2007 – 6:00 amComments

cncds.jpgJune brings us several new DS games, but which ones are worth looking for in the stores?

June 4th brings us the debut of Cookie & Cream on the DS. It’s supposed to make good use of both screens, platforming on the top and solving puzzles on the bottom.

A possibly interesting game, Prey the Stars, also shows up on the 4th. This game promises to be like Katamari Damacy, only instead of rolling things up, you (a dog) eat them.

If you’re into action flight sims, check out Time Ace on the 12th, a game that takes place across time with various classic and futuristic planes.

SimCity DS arrives on the 19th to satisfy all your city-building aspirations. It promises three modes of play and some minigames as well.

If you’re looking for a game along the lines of Trauma Center, check out Lifesigns: Surgical Unit on the 26th.

The Settlers, a much-anticipated historic city-building sim originally on the PC, also launches on the 26th.

The final week in June also brings a handful of licensed titles, if that’s your cup of tea – Transformers in 2 versions, Autobots & Decepticons, Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix, and Ratatouille. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a great month for the DS.
