Man who saved Nintendo by leaving still making bank.

The man most directly responsible for the arrogance behind Nintendo’s dramatic drop from first place in the NES generation to third place in the PS2 generation is apparently still raking in the dough from the DS and Wii, despite having been replaced years ago by the much friendlier Satoru Iwata. Despite my fondness for much of the hardware and software that comes out of the house that Mario built, the fact that some of my money is still going to this guy is pretty upsetting to me. Chris Kohler mentions that it’s the man’s portion of Nintendo’s stock that’s made him the third richest person in Japan.
This is just like how it feels when I shop at Wal-Mart.
