X360 spring update arrives

Spring has sprung, and so has the 360′s spring update. Of course the most major addition is Windows Messenger, so 360ers can chat with PCers. Other welcome tweaks help the Dashboard function better. If you have a game in the tray, it shows you the title; highlight it and see your gamerscore and achievements in that game. Speaking of achievements, their boxes now tell you the name of the achievement as well as the point value, and there’s a new Tell-A-Friend feature to assist you in bragging. The Arcade blade shows what friends are playing which games, so it’s easier to set up multiplayer matches.
The Marketplace gets a blade of its own. You can now watch movies as they are being downloaded, as well as see the download progress. The update brings support for H.264 and MPEG-4 Part 2 videos. Getting low on disk space? The system will ask you to delete something and then show you a list of files you can delete.
Here are more additions, from Xbox.com:
Enhanced family settings features for Xbox LIVE communications enable different defaults for video chat and voice chat.
A new option in Auto Downloads provides faster access to the entire collection of free, trial-version Xbox LIVE Arcade games.
Extension of the background download functionality will allow owners to set their Xbox 360 console to turn off automatically after downloads are complete.
Switchable aspect ratio now available during video playback (Auto to Letterbox, Zoom, Stretch, Native).
Show folder hierarchy for video content played from all devices.
Bookmarks are stored for each video that the user plays remembering the users last location in the file as well as the aspect ratio that the user choose for that file.
Skip forward and backward functionality has been improved to skip to the next or previous chapter. Each video is divided into 10
