Virtual Console Monday – 5/21/2007

blazinglazers.jpgThe elves mining Nintendo’s vaults for classic games have unearthed three new ones to add to the Wii Shop Channel. They feature ragers, lasers and, um, monkeys not in cages. Anyway, it’s unlikely that you’ve played all three of these, so go ahead and check ‘em out. Or the elves will cry.

The three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the channel every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points

    Its about time they got around to releasing Blazing Lasers. That was definitely one of the hidden gems of the TG16 library.

    It may be a “Soldier” game, but I’m pretty sure it was Compile that made it.

    Hudson is wasting no time rolling out the quality TG-16 titles. Way to be, bee!

    Not a bad selection all around. Streets of Rage 2 is a great game. Want more quality games I’ve never played from the NES though. I still think DKC is overrated. Um, Startropics?
