Smash Bros Dojo Relaunches with Brawl music info.

We had lots of notice, and now it’s finally open. The Smash Bros Dojo has gone about six months without an update, and we’ve been waiting for more information on characters and gameplay for quite a while. The last new character announced was Solid Snake from the Metal Gear franchise, a Konami character who marked the first appearance of a third party character in the previously all-Nintendo fighting game series. Exciting stuff for those of us who loved Melee, and found the commercial for the original N64 title amusing.
I spent all of last night staring at the unchanging page that just said “Coming Today!”, but it turns out it happened while most of us were asleep. Fortunately, Prime 3′s coming August 20th, so I was able to go to sleep. And dream of shooting Space Pirates. Ah, Space Pirates.
Think about that for a moment. This race is called the Space Pirates. Can you imaging how awkward that is when you’re trying to make some kind of business deal?
But this article is about Smash Bros Brawl.
The new site promises daily updates from the the game’s creator. No characters on the website yet, that option is grayed out. But it does have some great information about the music in the game. The list of musicians involved is amazing, including such gaming greats as Yuzo Koshiro (holy smokes!) and my personal favorite, Yasunori Mitsuda. You can listen to a new musical piece, the menu music for the game, on the site. It’s a lengthy list with lots of surprises, so it’s worth a look.
Also mentioned on the site is that stages, just as in Melee, will change dramatically while you’re fighting on them. The example they give is the “battlefield” stage, which will progress from day to night and back as you fight on it.
