Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Goes Online for PS3, 360

legostarwars_completesaga_logo.pngLucasArts has confirmed some retailer listings for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, and the Nintendo DS. Aww man, no PSP version!

The PS3 and 360 versions will feature online drop-in-drop-out cooperative play, and the reissue of all six episodes of Star Wars fun in one game will backport features from Lego Star Wars II into the Lego Star Wars original game’s levels, as well as add in new characters and scenes. There’s no word on voice support for the PS3 version.

The Wii and DS will also receive versions of The Complete Saga, but the DS game will be rebuilt from the ground up as a completely new game, and neither Nintendo system will get online play. I think they said that because the DS version of LSW2 was terrible, rating an average of 47%.

Online retailer CDUniverse lists all versions of the game with a November 8th release date, but the Gamespot press release only mentions this fall as the release window.

With the recent price drop of Lego Star Wars II down to $20 across all platforms, I was tempted to buy it for the PS2 after playing all the way through Lego Star Wars and completing about half of Lego Star Wars II on the PSP, but now I’ll be waiting to see how the PS3 version comes out.
