GTA IV Gets a Pricey Special Edition
Today, another game was added to the new club of pricey special editions, as Rockstar announced a boxed set for GTA IV’s release. The special edition comes in at a svelte $89.99 and includes a duffel bag emblazoned with the Rockstar logo, a book filled with exclusive artwork, and a CD with selections from the GTA IV soundtrack all kept inside a full size safety deposit box. You also get a keychain with a key for the lockbox.
No word on what music is on the CD or what the safety deposit box will look like, but knowing Rockstar the entire package will have its signature flair all over it. The one thing I have to ask is if these special editions are starting to get out of hand. We have the Halo Legendary Edition and now this, both pushing the envelope on price. But knowing that gamers will buy them due to blind devotion to a title, it will only get worse.
