Gears of War to get New Achievements
Mark Rein of Epic Games posted on the Gears of War forums last night that we can expect more than just bug fixes in the next title update.
The next Gears of War update is coming along nicely. We don’t have a release timeframe for it yet but I just wanted to let you know we’re making significant progress. In addition to the previously mentioned plan to improve roadie run we’re also going to have new achievements relating to Annex and the Hidden Fronts DLC. Of course no title update would be complete without more exploit squashing and the ever-popular “general housekeeping”.
Sweet. I’m also secretly hoping that they will change the current achievements to not require ranked matches. But, we’ll see. It is nice to have a developer like Epic that is historically so dedicated to the consumers of their product after the fact. Companies like EA and Atari should take note.
