Xbox.com Quietly “Fixed” Mozilla/Opera Bugs

454987156.jpgAround last week’s Xbox Live update, Major Nelson mentioned a feature that would allow users to see where a player’s gamer picture came from. A tooltip appears when you hover your mouse pointer over the image, displaying the game or content related to the image, or it was supposed to appear.

Unfortunately, this feature conveniently didn’t work with Mozilla or Opera browsers. I didn’t put too much thought into it, knowing full well that Microsoft.com performs terribly with Firefox. I left it with a, “That’s Microsoft for ya.”

Major Nelson writes to let us know that this bug has been remedied for Firefox and “other browsers” along with Xbox.com tweaks to improve its performance in Opera. Larry’s final comments of the blog post are pretty amusing,

“We really don‚Äôt mind what browser you use‚Ķhonest.” That was followed promptly by a painful zap from the chip implanted behind his ear. Bad Larry, Bad!
