PS3 F.E.A.R. the Worst, Version That Is

270039b.jpgIn what might be a bad sign for the Rainbow Six Vegas port to PS3, F.E.A.R. was been routinely panned in early reviews. Oppressively long and unexpected load times, muddy textures and graphical bugs mar a game that was excellently done on PC then beautifully ported to the 360.

Well, it wasn’t completely panned. Just panned when compared to the PC and 360 versions. It’s rolling with a very average early score of 77% from Metacritic right now.

I think the only feature F.E.A.R. for the PS3 has going for it is that it’s launching into a very empty library. I can see a lot of PS3 owners buying this simply because there’s nothing else to play. Are any PS3 owners looking forward to this?

    I can play this game on a three year old laptop with high graphics. The only reason this game is so buggy on the PS3 is that it wasn’t designed for it and the developers aren’t even coming close to touching the power that the PS3 has. It’s just further proof that the PS3 is harder to design for. Anyway, I really don’t think that anyone was waiting for this game since it’s been out for so long.

    I wanted to rent it, but now that I’m completely disgusted with first person shooters on a console since I can’t make any headway in Resistance’s single player game I won’t be touching another shooter.
