No More Dreamcast Repairs

segasaturndc.jpgSega has announced that repairs for the good old Dreamcast will be discontinued in September of this year. The announcement of this over on Slashdot was greeted with a chorus not of people wailing and gnashing their teeth, but a chorus of “What? They still repair Dreamcasts?” Kotaku seems to think this is terrible too.

I remember Dreamcast mostly for the wild time I had in an afternoon of four-player Soul Calibur sessions years ago at a friend’s place when visiting for Passover Seder. My wife even played it, that’s how button-mash-friendly it was, and she doesn’t play anything, ever.
