Newsflash: PC Gaming Isn’t As Dead As People Thought

Well, according to the New York Times, PC Gaming sales for the first two months of the year are up 48% against sales from the same period last year. The numbers show sales coming in at $203 million vs. $136.8 million. The bigger fact is that these numbers do not include sales through digital distribution sites like Steam, or monthly subscription fees from MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.
While these numbers are dwarfed by the console sales for the first two months of the year, it is a good sign for the hardcore PC gaming faithful out there that have shown that if good games are released, they will be purchased.
