Neo Geo games on Virtual Console to hit at 900 points?
In an interview over at IGN, Mark Bozon asks president Ben Herman of SNK Playmore USA a handful of useful questions about SNK’s upcoming offering of Neo Geo games on the Wii Virtual Console. The question that leapt out at me was about pricing, but I’ll admit I was skimming for that to begin with. Well, that, and errors.
Herman’s exact quote is as follows.
With NES at essentially $5 and Super NES at $8, we’ll be putting our games at just a little above the Super NES point.
That would be in a small neighborhood with 900 points, or nine dollars, which is just shy of the N64 price point of 1000 points. Of course, Metal Slug games aren’t worth it, as you can get them all on one disc for less than $40 in Metal Slug Anthology now on the Wii, but keep an eye out for some great fighting games, and the arcade classic Bust-A-Move. We still don’t know when we’ll see these games in the US, but we’re assured they are coming.
