Tiny Diggers – An iPad Construction Truck Game for Kids Age 2-5

It isn’t often that 360 owners can enjoy two games on Live Arcade Wedneday (never). This week, we get a classic arcade title in Gyruss and an all new title from Sierra and Wanako Studios (developer of one of my favorites, Assault Heroes), 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventure.

Gyruss is simply that, the arcade version of Gyruss running in the standard Konami emulator. I’m not particularly fond of this version, the vertical layout of the game takes up a minuscule amount of an HDTV which makes it pretty pathetic on the screen. It’s the same game and if you love the original, go for it. For me, I can’t justify the 400 points ($5). Of course, if you disagree, be sure to let me know,

3D Ultra Minigolf Adventure features 36 holes, ranging from a casino theme to playing minigolf on a tiny planet in outer space. While the fundamentals are here, I do feel that the camera angles make the game a bit more difficult that it needs to be. I was looking forward to this one and while it does accomplish minigolf on the console, I need more than just that to warrant 800 points ($10). SOTN has set the bar for me.
