Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

IGN Nominates Super-Rub-A-Dub for “Worst PS3 Game Ever”

Submitted by on April 23, 2007 – 8:00 am3 Comments

546sdf65216.jpgIt seems that Super Rub-a-Dub is bad, really really bad. IGN dropped a smelly 2.9 “Terrible” on Rub-a-Dub, I had a feeling it was going to be bad but never thought it would earn a, “avoid at all costs” review.

“What we get instead are incredibly basic mazes that give users almost no control over the action. The idea here is to influence the direction of your giant duck by tilting the bathtub so that the flow of water alters your course. As your duck swims along, he’ll have to collect imprisoned smaller ducks and head off to the drain for the win and next level. Of course, outside elements like wind-up sharks, fall-away barriers and powerful currents mix things up a bit, but for the most part, the 60 available stages are frustrating no matter what the circumstance.”

It seems like everything is riding on Calling All Cars! at this point. It’s expected be available sometime next week and reviews should be dropping any day now.

The EU edition of the game got similarly stomped in reviews. I’m not saying the reviews are bad, just that I’m really not surprised the game is apparently so terrible.

It makes you wonder why they’re spending their time and money on garbage like this when they could be chasing, I don’t know, board games and other things that are about to be unleashed by the gaggle on Xbox Live Arcade.

If it is the worst game on the PS3, is that really all bad considering there are only a dozen games anyway. Drum hit for that zinger. But seriously, who thought this would be good. It sounded dumb from the beginning and now we get to see how bad it really is now that it is out.

Why not give the free demo a try, before you believe this shocking review. I really enjoy it, as do my wife and kids. I read this review, and quite frankly wondered if they were reviewing the same game I’d just been playing. I dont know whats wrong with IGN, but 2.9 for a game that costs less than a fiver? Please..
