God of War II in Higher Resolution
A God of War themed, Island of Rhodes site has been counting down for a while now, and recently went live with a set of developer interviews as well as some hidden instructions on how to activate a special, higher-resolution mode for playing God of War II.
Sharp-eyed readers will remember that a rumor bounced around a little while ago that God of War II would be playable at 720p on the PlayStation 3, so my guess is that this resolution, while definitely not 720p, was the genesis of that rumor. It’s hidden in the game and will activate as you start it up and do a certain button combination on the controller, and text describing it indicates that the very last bug in it was fixed during the last day of development on the title, letting them include it in the game, but not make it a normal option.
