GameFly’s Pittsburgh Distribution Center Is Live
Following GameznFlix’s recent announcement that they’re dropping PSP rentals entirely I gave GameFly a call to see how their new Pittsburgh PA distribution center was coming along. Kotaku noticed it was in testing back at the end of March.
I spoke with one of GameFly’s support reps and found out that their new Pittsburgh, PA distribution center has been open since early April and is now serving several states: Connecticut, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland and Delaware. These states have come online in groups of four or five at a time over the past few weeks, and they are stocking the facility often by sending games from their Los Angeles distribution center with return envelopes going to Pittsburgh. Sneaky, eh?
My home state of New Jersey isn’t on the list yet, but at this rate it should be very soon. The support rep also mentioned that they’ve been sending emails out to members, and possibly even former members announcing when their state is now being served from the facility, so watch your email box.
