Bruno Bonnell, the founder of the company, Infogrames has left his post as CEO and director. Bruno founded Infogrames 24 years ago and was the architect behind the purhase of Atari, Inc. His post will be filled by Patrick Leleu, a director that has been with the company since January 2007.

One has to wonder if this was planned in advance. They just hired Patrick in January and they have already elevated him to the CEO spot the moment that Bruno leaves the company. It also poses the question of whether he left on his own terms or were there subtle nudges towards the door after all the problems that have ensued with Infogrames since the acquisition of Atari, Inc. seven years ago.

It’s been seven years since they bought Atari already?

What are the good games that they’ve published. I think they published Neverwinter Nights, and I want to say Unreal Tournament 2004 too but I’m not sure. Anyone?

I would say, while not great, I had a lot of fun with Path of Neo. But beyond UT2K4, Sid Meier’s Pirates and the aforementioned Path of Neo, I never got too hyped up for their products. Sad thing is that I know I own a bunch of their games, but none were standouts. I even own Driv3r. For the PC, ouch!
