Final Fantasy Out of Ideas: Will Remake Everything

Submitted by on April 22, 2007 – 12:05 pm4 Comments

65468werw21.jpgNews from Square Enix will be great for their pocket book but terrible for Final Fantasy fans expecting something new. According to Playstation Universe, Square Enix has changed their business model to focus on remakes and sequels of existing franchises instead of all new content. Said sequels and remakes will apparently release across all platforms, including mobile phones.

The Japanese release of the Final Fantasy collections are apparently selling like hotcakes over in Japan, so it’s no wonder Square Enix is making this type of decision. If gamers demand it, they should make it, especially a Final Fantasy VII sequel.

After completing Final Fantasy X, I really felt like I was playing the same game over and over. I’m sure Final Fantasy XII was a great game (and I loved FFXI for quite awhile) but I simply couldn’t bring myself to jump into yet another airship.
