Final Fantasy Out of Ideas: Will Remake Everything
News from Square Enix will be great for their pocket book but terrible for Final Fantasy fans expecting something new. According to Playstation Universe, Square Enix has changed their business model to focus on remakes and sequels of existing franchises instead of all new content. Said sequels and remakes will apparently release across all platforms, including mobile phones.
The Japanese release of the Final Fantasy collections are apparently selling like hotcakes over in Japan, so it’s no wonder Square Enix is making this type of decision. If gamers demand it, they should make it, especially a Final Fantasy VII sequel.
I’ve always considered the Final Fantasy titles as sequels anyway, considering they were always in the same universe. After completing Final Fantasy X, I really felt like I was playing the same game over and over. I’m sure Final Fantasy XII was a great game (and I loved FFXI for quite awhile) but I simply couldn’t bring myself to jump into yet another airship.

Dude, you have to play FFXII. It’s Yet Another Fucking Final Fantasy Game in some ways, but the completely revamped battle system and well-written, well-acted story blow by the mediocrity that was FFX like woah.
Unfortunately, Game|Life has the story on how Playstation Universe took this story from a satire website…

I had a hard time believing it, which is why this is more of a satire post than anything else.
I don’t like the Idea of making more shitty FFVII sequels. Though if well done a Next-Gen Remake would be nice. But maybe something that great should be left untouched.
