Elite Beat Agents becomes a sleeper hit five months later.
I’ve made no secret of my love for iNis’ ballooning series of tapping slash spinning slash touchscreen destroying slash stylus lobbing rhythm games for the Nintendo DS. Brutally delightful, they are the best game experiences you can have on the platform. If you’re into that sort of thing.
When Elite Beat Agents launched in the US last November, nobody bought it. Well, almost nobody. I preordered it, was there in the morning at Gamestop before the UPS box was unpacked, and the people at the counter had to be convinced that yes, it is a real game I’ve preordered and I want you to give it to me.
Fast-forward five months later, and DS gamers have finally caught on and are buying the game. So much so that this week it became the top selling game on the platform in the US. Nice going, shoppers. Congratulations on picking up on this.
We’re Number One: top sellers for the week at Infendo.
