A Gamer’s Wedding Gift

04-16-07_1331.jpgI received a collection of outstanding wedding gifts on Saturday. My Best Man, however, gave the greatest “gaming” gift of all. What you see above is a Playstation 3 with all the fixin’s necessary to get the party started. This was his gift to me, surely hoping that my recent online joys with the Xbox 360 hasn’t spoiled me completely on the Playstation brand.

I’ve been very critical of Sony and the PS3, especially due to their choice of adding a Blu-Ray player into the system by default. This increased the system price unnecessarily and without it, the system would sell like hotcakes. Now, thanks to the Best Man, I can enjoy the system absolutely guilt-free.

So now I am, for better or worse, a multi-console man.

    hey, I missed commenting on a previous post, but CONTGRATULATIONS! Thats awesome……the wedding I mean, not just the PS3. :)

    Can’t wait to get some impressions on it (the PS3, not the wedding) from you.

    Always remember, a good women is like a campfire.
    They will keep you warm and maybe even cook you dinner, but they need to be tended to frequently, lest they sputter and lose their flame.

    Also, never underestimate the power of running your loved one a candle-lit bath when they least expect it.

    Now that is what I call some serious giftage. Stop being so careful to not be excited about it! It’s a pretty cool gift and even I would be excited. I mean think about the several PS2 games you can play on there!

    Awesome James. My gf got me a PS3 for my birthday and I’ve been in love with it since (her too).

    It’s been competing for my time with the Wii.
