Weekend Gamin’: Ultimate Bachelor Party Edition

Submitted by on March 23, 2007 – 12:18 pm8 Comments

debauchery.bmpWhat’s everyone doing this weekend? My bachelor party is tomorrow night, which will start at a LAN center somewhere in New York. The center we’ve rented out has about 20 networked PC stations, some HD connected 360′s and at least one Wii available at all time. Top all of that off with a quality assortment of alcoholic beverages and avoiding serious injury via Wii-mote impalement or nun chuck strangling is Priority 1. I think I’ll commission someone to take some images of the LAN party and toss them up here sometime next week, whenever I regain the ability to speak.

This isn’t the first time that I’ve had a bachelor party at a LAN center. A few years back, I hosted my Best Man’s bachelor party at the now-defunct Game Time Nation in the Village. It was a resounding success and I knew that was exactly the type of thing I wanted to kick off my bachelor party. Now, about three years later, it’s a reality.

Wish me luck!

Congratulations and have a great time!

Have as much fun as humanly possible. And remember, don’t drink and drive in racing games.

Have fun, I would tell you about the last bachleor party I attended but I it would be a bit too graphic

For my first bachelor party (on my 2nd marriage right now) we played Goldeneye on the N64 all night. Some might think this wasn’t a very good bachelor party… but it was a blast… too bad the marriage wasn’t as good as the bachelor’s party… :-/

As for this weekend, I’ll be playing Castlevania: SOTN. It is awesome. I may also play some Silverfall… And in non-video gaming, I’m playing Battletech all day Saturday. Mmmm… table-top tactical combat with giant robots FTW!

  • Sammael

Ah, yes. Saturday will be a night to rememeber, I’m sure. I just need to remember to return the Wii-compatible donkey on Sunday… I hope it’s easy to connect, sometimes the regular peripherals have given me problems…

Also, Ranger/Islander game on Sunday!!! Woohoo!!
I’ve got section 310. Not the best, but I’ve never been to a Ranger/Islander game.

As practice for his married days, James will be lifting cars. :-)

And then throwing them at us, in Crackdown.

It is nice to see that there are other people out there that accept gaming as a bachelor party. Every time one of my friends get married we pull an all nighter and most recently played until 7 am. I had to ditch my wife for the night, but it was well worth it…

But, Paul, if James is really gonna be prepared for marriage, we need to be throwing the cars at HIM. He’s got practice his dodging skills.
