Weekend Gamin’: Price Hike

195983b541.jpgYet another weekend is upon us! I can’t believe I‚Äôm still playing it but I’ll be leaping from rooftop to rooftop in Crackdown hoping to find the final 60 or so Agility Orbs. My bud Disney (remember the guy who had those Xbox 360 problems) received a brand new system from Microsoft and is probably picking up Crackdown this evening. I’ll be joining his game hoping to help him out and search for orbs at the same time.

Kudos to our faithful commenter, Qbix for joining my game for hours this past weekend, helping me out with a bunch of achievements and stunt jumps. He’s unlocked EVERYTHING in the game except for the achievement that requires beating all the bosses in co-op. Hopefully I can return the favor and help him finish this beast off completely.

One little side nugget I noticed today was that Take 2 has raised the price of Sid Meier’s Pirates from $19 to $29. I bought the game soon after its release for $19 and now all of a sudden the price has been hiked up ten beans? I’ve contacted Take 2 for a comment on what’s up and if they respond, I’ll let you know.

    I never saw Pirates at $19.99 despite the press release. I figured the retailers were making a big hunk of money off of it on their own. I think it’s been $29.99 for a while.

    I too will be on Crackerdown when I’m not teaching our baby to hold a joystick. I still have the last city to defeat.

    Hey no problem. People had suggested playing co-op so I gave it a shot. It was good times. Oh, and I got those co-op achievements last night but if you or anybody here needs help with the game I’ll probably be on tonight. Something “funny” about Crackdown is how for half an hour of trying to get into a quickmatch session nobody would allow a second player. One is almost forced to get a game going with a friend. Weird.

    Oh and Elebits, The Legend of Zelda on VC, and maybe Size Matters.
