Unlimited Now Less Limited
The Major gives us the heads up that some free and not-so-free content for Test Drive Unlimited has hit the Xbox Live Marketplace. I love to see them offer up a free car (Caddy CTS-V, wee!) alongside some of the pay-to-play content, although offering the Hardcore Mode for two beans seems a bit pricey. Especially if it’s the only way to reach “Champion” status, which I assume is the top rank.
As you can tell, I’m not well versed on the Unlimited scene. I played the demo when it was first released and have always given them some kudos for releasing the game at a discounted price with the promise of downloadable content. In huge racing games, I rarely want to drive every single car and would much rather be able to pay a little less and only snatch the wheels I want to drive.
Is anyone still playing this religiously on the 360? If so, how does a normal online game session play out? I’ve found that the initial reviews of a title rarely give a true impression of the multiplayer experience once it hits the masses.
