I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

RUMOR: Dead Rising Co-op?

Submitted by on March 4, 2007 – 12:22 pm6 Comments

Dead_Rising_Co-op.jpgIf an EGM rumor rings true, the upcoming Platinum release of Dead Rising will include online Co-op over Xbox Live. EGM also states that the online co-op will be available for download via the Xbox Live Marketplace for an additional, still undetermined, cost.

If Dead Rising gets online co-op, I most definitely will be picking it up. Most of my friends are die-hard Dead Rising fanboys and for good reason, there isn’t much not to like about it. Personally, I never liked the controls in the game, firing a gun was really too awkward. Unfortunately, it didn’t draw me in enough to warrant a $60 purchase. Co-op online play would definitely put it over the top (not to mention the Platinum price tag).

The big question is: How much would the current owners of Dead Rising be willing to pay for online co-op?

50 cents. I hardly ever play games in co-op and that includes crackdown. I’m almost done with it an haven’t touched co-op whatsoever. I agree with the Dead Rising controls. Instead of releasing co-op, they should enable different control schemes.

Qbix: If you haven’t played co-op Crackdown, you’ve only played half of the game.

  • Less than half, I’d argue.

And I’d pay maybe in the $5 range. $10 is just too much, because that’ll end up pushing my total Dead Rising payments to over $70–and that’s just too much.

i never liked the game i hated the controls and the text was insanely small it was also 2 repetitive but my friend is like a die hard fan boy of the game

dead rising was great on a decent TV and with the right mindset, still my favourite 360 game – it oozes personality and fun and get’s better the more you play it (tunnels of zombies, lights off in mall, supermarket atmosphere late at night).

Never had any troubles with the controls myself.
