Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction ‘Debut’ Trailer

A new trailer for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction for the PS3 has been released l This really didn’t blow my mind as expected, I really hoped they would take some chances with the art direction this time around. I really didn’t see anything on this trailer that made me “Wow”.

It’s still early, with the game showing a fall 2007 but I expected something more from their first trailer.

I’m a very big fan of the R&C games, and I’m glad to see Clank on Ratchet’s back again. His absence from Deadlocked’s gameplay made it a weaker game overall.

The art direction? I think it looks wonderful, but I’ve really liked the exaggerated, cartoony tech feel of the series to date. Granted most of what we saw were cut scenes, but Insomniac were masters of the PS2 and are a good bet to crank out a killer second-generation title for the system.
