Nintendo Stuns With February Numbers

Nintendo was a winner by a wide margin in the month of February according to sales data released today by The NPD Group. The Wii and DS combined to give Nintendo numbers that put them leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. The other big surprise was the disappointing numbers that the PS3 produced. Analysts had the PS3 coming in at 200,000 units for February and the PS3 fell short by 38% of that number. The PS2 also had a nice showing, letting gamers know that the last generation is still alive and kicking with solid sales. Game sales were heavy on 360 and Wii games with Crackdown selling four times its second place competition.
