Ninja Gaiden coming to the DS, finally.
Way back near the launch of the Nintendo DS, a number of games were listed as being in development in an issue of Nintendo Power. Many of these titles were so early as to be called things like “unspecified adventure game” and the like. One of these titles was an unspecified project by Team Ninja at Tecmo. Since then, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for an announcement of a Ninja Gaiden title for the Nintendo DS, and oh, about two years later, here it comes.

It’s called Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, and all we’ve got so far is that title and a scan from a Japanese magazine. And you know what? After two years of waiting, this is an excellent beginning. I’m a fan of the series from way back, and when Ninja Gaiden appeared for the Xbox, I less-than-silently steamed over it not being available on my platform. When Ninja Gaiden Sigma was announced for the PS3, I was hoping we’d see it elsewhere too. I hope this game turns out as polished, and as punishing, as those appear to be.
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword announced; will be really hard at DSFanboy.
